Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) - Vision India

PMKK is an effort towards creation of state of the art infrastructure, for delivery of quality skill development training in every district / parliamentary constituency of India. PMKK is a benchmark institution that demonstrates aspirational value for competency based skill development training. These centers are exclusive, iconic and will be marketed as the best-in-class skill development centers.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is a one of its kind Public Private Partnership in India. VISION INDIA  is partnering NSDC to promote skill development by catalyzing the creation of large, quality, for-profit vocational institutions. MSDE intends to establish visible and aspirational training centers in every district of the country. These training centers shall be called Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra.

The PMKK accepts a trainee who meets eligibility criteria of the applicable skill program like PMKVY, or any scheme of MSDE at the time of admission. Which is as follows :-

• PMKK would essentially target drop out students after class 10 and class 12.​
• Recognition of prior learning and inclusion of Informal sector employees too
• Training will be done against standards (National Occupational Standards – NOS and Qualification Packs – QPs
• Transparent funding of skill training with monetary rewards directly transferred to the trainees bank account.
• Target for skill training would be demand driven
• Target aligned to national flagship programs and regions
• Robust regime for registration of training providers
• Focused awareness building and mobilization activities
• Improved curricula, better pedagogy and trained instructors
• Enhanced monitoring and Mentorship support
• Scrutinized Evaluation and ensure proper Grievance redressal
